"If you have a gundog breed as a pet...
You have a pet gundog"
Chiltern K9 provides breed appropriate dog training and behaviour modification, online and in-person
Hi, I'm Katie, the founder and director of Chiltern K9.
I have 3 dogs of my own: A working cocker, Basil, a springer spaniel, Jasper, and a doberman, Evie.

I have Basil and Evie to thank for leading me here today; I was completely out of my depth with them as young dogs. All they wanted to do was chase, hunt, bark at everything and run off; listening to me was at the bottom of their list!
I had dreams of off lead hikes, running together and fun days out, but struggled to find training that was effective for dogs so intense and full of energy.

The truth is, most standard pet training isn't enough for working gundog breed dogs. They have strong instincts to work that have been genetically hardwired into them for centuries, and they need training in a way that incorporates and harnesses that rather than working against it.
Even though your dog may never "work", they still have all the same needs as their working ancestors, and unmet needs can quickly become behaviour problems.

The Chiltern K9 team are specialists in helping you to understand and harness your dog's natural instincts, and channel all that drive into working with you to resolve behaviour issues and create a relationship based on trust and mutual understanding.
Our mission is to help you and your dog thrive so you can enjoy life together, however that looks for you.
